This summer flew by fast, and I am still trying to figure out where October went. An update has been long overdue, and there is plenty to share about what has been happening with West Cattle Company.

First, thank you to every single person who showed up at the Loveland Market. Connecting with you each week is the heart of our summer. Your support, your stories, your trust in the way we raise our cattle — all of it continues to humble us. We work in a quiet corner of Wyoming, doing things the slow, sustainable way, and sometimes you forget how much that effort matters until you stand at your booth and hear from families who care just as deeply. Your encouragement means more than you know.
We also rolled out some new proteins. We had a few hiccups with our pasture-raised, non-GMO chicken, although those kinks are now fixed for next season. We brought back our lamb, and many of you were excited about pork again. I have plans in motion to make sure pasture-raised pork is fully stocked for next summer. Through everything, your continued love for our grass-fed, grass-finished beef remains incredible. It is our flagship for a reason, and we are proud of the standard it sets.

Markets wrapped up at the end of September, which felt like a blessing in disguise. I stepped back into education this fall after being approached with a part-time administrative position that aligned perfectly with my background and my heart. It was an opportunity I could not turn down. Balancing school mornings, the ranch, West Cattle Company, online orders, and market weekends made September a blur. Closing out the market season gave me a chance to settle into the new role. Anyone who has started a new job knows that feeling of figuring out how everything works, and I needed the space to breathe.
At home, Brandon and I are still finding our rhythm between work, kids, activities, and ranch life. Many of you are right there with us in the same season of juggling little ones and busy schedules. My hat is off to you.

On the business side, bulk beef flew out the door this fall. Demand was so strong that we shifted inventory and opened an additional December slot. Pork sold out completely. That was a huge accomplishment for us this year.
If you followed along this summer, you saw the van. That van felt like a dream coming true. We were awarded two USDA grants last year, and one of them helped us secure that vehicle. The first one we had our eye on sold before we could grab it, so we dug around and found another. It has been a game changer in our deliveries and operations. The plan is to have it fully branded by next summer with our ranch logo and information.
The second USDA grant is funding a complete label rebrand for all of our products. This has been a major undertaking, especially for multi-ingredient items, because everything must be approved by the USDA. It is detailed work, but I believe it offers peace of mind to our customers. Every label, every claim, every detail is verified. You will begin seeing the new labels roll out next summer.

We also began placing products into local storefronts. At Poppy Flower Farm in Loveland, they built a charming farm-stand location and asked to partner with us. You will find a small selection of our meats there now. We love what they are building and are excited to grow that partnership. Here is the location:
Poppy Flower Farm Farm-Stand
6366 W County Rd 20, Loveland, CO 80538
In addition — I’m excited to announce that Katie (many of you saw her working with me this summer in Loveland) will represent West Cattle Company at the Greeley Winter Farmers’ Market. The market details are:
Greeley Winter Market Location & Time
715 10th Street, Greeley, CO 80631
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Dates we’ll be there with Katie:
Saturday, November 15
Saturday, December 6
Saturday, February 4
Saturday, March 7
Saturday, April 14
We’re thrilled to have Katie on-site at those dates to assist you with choosing from our selection of grass-fed beef, pasture-raised pork, and our upcoming lamb offerings.
If you want to stock up, subscriptions remain the simplest option. We deliver on the 16th every month, right to your door, which makes winter meals easy, reliable, and ethical.
That wraps up our West Cattle Company update. A lot of progress, a lot of growth, and a lot to be thankful for.
Thank you for being part of the West Cattle Company story— “We don’t mess with Mother Nature,” and we’re honored you let us bring that to your table.
Warm regards,
Brittany & Brandon
